    Forged in the fires of the Rosebay hard rock scene, Mess was propelled to stardom through a sound cultivated by Newtown hipsters, posers, hippies, electro funk heads, and Stewy.

    Hokum-On-Somble

    The slickest of Australia’s jug bands, Hokum went into Airbourne Studios in February 1979 and recorded the EP, ‘Take Away Chinese Ragtime Vol. 3’.

    The Bopcats

    Johnny Gray and Peter Doyle put The Bopcats together in 1978 to play a New Orleans style of rock and roll.

    The Clones formed in 1978 and had success on the Sydney pub circuit with their 60’s look and sound and quality original songs.

    The Comets were Sydney’s premier rock and roll dance band and pulled huge crowds of rockabilly dancers until 1995.

    Sydney blues aficionado, Brian Wakefield, put the first of many line ups of The Layabouts together in 1976, with a repertoire of classic rhythm and blues from the 40’s and 50’s.
