Haley and Dean began their musical association in 1975 in the Sydney rock and roll band ‘The Starliters’. It continued for the next two decades in The Zarsoff Brothers, The Eddys and The Comets.

In 2010 Haley, who was now living in Canberra, brought Dean there to help on some recordings at Artsound Studios, backed by a plethora of Canberra musicians. These 
were included on The Piranha Brothers release ‘Another Cool World’.
