When The Eddys disbanded in 1992 Greg Dean and Eddy Haley teamed up with local three piece band, The Tearaways, to form The Comets. The Tearaways featured Chris and Steve Hudson, formerly with Mighty Little, and the big voice and guitar of Andrew Campbell. 

The Comets became Sydney’s premier rock and roll dance band and pulled huge crowds of rockabilly dancers until they folded in 1995.
