When Haley moved to Canberra in 2002, after a successful career in rock and roll bands in Sydney, he teamed up with local piano virtuoso and arranger, John Black. They went into Artsound studios, under the direction of local engineer, Tony Hunter, and recorded a collection of John Black arrangements. The title song of the ‘Cool World’ album was a rather cool rendition of the Ross Wilson song, which had been a hit for Melbourne band Mondo Rock. A follow up album, ‘Somewhere Along The Way’ was also released by Piranha Brothers in 2018.
