Sydney blues aficionado, Brian Wakefield, put the first of many line ups of The Layabouts together in 1976. They performed regularly in Sydney’s inner western suburbs to a very loyal following, for the next couple of decades, with a repertoire of classic rhythm and blues from the 40’s and 50’s.

Their ‘Loose And Lively’ EP was Piranha Brothers second 
release in 1979. They also appeared on the Piranha Brothers album ‘Best Of The Inner West’ released in 1981.
