The Works
Rob Luckey – guitar/vocals
Warwick Kennington – drums/vocals
Bob McGowan - guitar/vocals
Ronnie Lamont – bass
Guitarist, Bob McGowan and drummer Warwick Kennington had enjoyed success with Sydney outfit ‘Uncle Bob’s Band’ in
the mid seventies. In 1978 they teamed up with singer/songwriter, Rob Luckey and bassist Ronnie Lamont to form The Works. Piranha Brothers put them into Honeyfarm Studios in 1980 under the direction of Mark Punch and they
recorded ‘Button On A Shirt’, written by Mark Butler and Tony Burkys.
The band folded in 1982 after the departure of Bob McGowan. Warwick Kennington subsequently joined The Zarsoff Brothers.
